Att. Celal Nuri Demirtürk

I was born in Isparta in 1964. After living in various provinces and districts around the country because of my father's profession, I completed my primary and secondary education in Ankara. From childhood, I grew up immersed in the world of law because of my late father Mehmet Demirtürk's career as a retired Supreme Court member; my interest in law was born in those years.

I graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Law in 1988 and began practicing law in 1990. In my first years in the profession, I served as retained counsel to the Turkish Republic Ziraat Bank and the Dış Bank Kavaklıdere Branch, gaining deep experience in banking and enforcement law. Between 1994 and 1999, I served on the executive board and as legal counsel at Kanal 6 Television; during the same period, I took part in meetings on the drafting of RTÜK (Radio and Television Supreme Council) bills.

Between 1994 and 2004, I served as counsel to companies such as Türk Petrol, Turtel Turizm and Üniversal Sigorta, gaining experience in commercial law, and between 1996 and 2000 I served as legal counsel for large-scale tourism investments in and around Antalya, gaining experience in the tourism sector. Owing to my particular interest in criminal law, I specialized in this field; since 1996, I have represented high-profile clients in numerous cases known to the public.

I have advised domestic and foreign companies on anti-dumping matters arising from international competition law. I contributed to society in the healthcare field by serving on the board of directors and as secretary general of HASVAK (the Turkish Foundation for State Hospitals and Patient Assistance); as a member of TÜGİAD (the Young Businessmen Association of Turkey), I continue to support business owners with their legal matters. Today, I continue to serve as founder and legal counsel of various private healthcare institutions.

As a nature lover, under the motto "One Sapling, One Person," I plant saplings wherever I go in an effort to help nature flourish.
